Accessibility Statement

Effective date: 26 May 2026.
Last updated: 26 May 2026.

9Ja Odds (referred to in this statement as "9Ja Odds", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to ensuring that the website located at https://9-ja.com, the mobile application, and any associated services (collectively, the "Service") are accessible to all users, including users with disabilities. This statement explains our accessibility commitments, the standards to which we aspire, the steps we have taken, the known limitations of the current implementation, and the means by which you can provide accessibility-related feedback.

1. Our commitment

We believe that the mathematical, statistical, and reference content made available through the Service should be available to as broad an audience as possible. We treat accessibility as an ongoing, continuous improvement effort rather than a one-time exercise, and we work to incorporate accessibility considerations into the design, development, and review of new and existing features.

2. Conformance objective

We aim to align the Service with the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium ("W3C"), at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 explains how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, neurological, motor, and speech disabilities, and how to make content more usable for older users whose abilities change with age. Conformance is an objective; the current state of the Service is described in Section 4.

3. Measures we have taken

The following are some of the steps we have taken to make the Service accessible:

  • Semantic structure. The Service is built using semantic HTML, with proper use of landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), logical heading hierarchy (h1–h4), and meaningful section labelling.
  • Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements — including buttons, links, form fields, and the language selector — are reachable and operable using the keyboard alone. A visible focus indicator is provided.
  • Colour contrast. The default dark theme is designed with foreground and background colour combinations intended to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast requirements for normal and large text.
  • Text scalability. The interface uses relative units that allow text to be resized by the user up to 200 per cent without loss of content or functionality.
  • Responsive layouts. The Service adapts to a wide range of viewport sizes, from approximately 320 pixels wide upward, so that content is usable on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices and at high zoom levels.
  • Form labelling. All form fields used by the calculators have clearly associated labels and, where appropriate, instructions, units, and validation hints.
  • Alternative text. Informative images carry descriptive alt attributes; decorative images are marked accordingly so as not to introduce noise for screen-reader users.
  • Page titles and language attributes. Each page has a unique and descriptive <title>, and the document language is declared on the root element to assist assistive technologies.
  • Reduced reliance on colour alone. Where information is conveyed by colour (for example, positive and negative results in calculators), an additional text indicator is provided so that the information is not lost for users who do not perceive the colour distinction.
  • No auto-playing media or auto-refreshing content that would interfere with assistive-technology workflows.

4. Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, the Service may currently contain accessibility limitations. The following are known limitations that we are aware of and working to address:

  • Dynamically loaded content. The Live, Articles, Predictions, and News sections load content from third-party data providers and RSS feeds in real time. Such dynamic updates may not always be fully announced to screen-reader users.
  • Third-party content. Headlines, excerpts, and links displayed in the content aggregation sections originate from external publishers. We do not control the underlying content and cannot guarantee its accessibility.
  • Calculator output tables. Some calculator outputs (for example, the Poisson probability matrix) present numeric data in a tabular form whose accessibility for non-visual users may be improved.
  • Mathematical notation. Some equations and statistical formulas in the Learn section are displayed using styled HTML rather than MathML; we plan to evaluate the use of MathML or alternative-text descriptions in a future release.

We continue to evaluate the Service against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and intend to address known limitations in future releases.

5. Assistive-technology compatibility

The Service is designed to be compatible with recent versions of the major web browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge) and with widely used assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack, and operating-system magnifiers and zoom features. We test the Service in commonly used combinations of browser and assistive technology and welcome feedback where compatibility issues arise.

6. Third-party content and services

Third-party content displayed through the Service — including aggregated articles, tips, news headlines, live sports data, and any embedded resources — is provided by external publishers and data suppliers. The accessibility of such content depends on the practices of those third parties, and 9Ja Odds cannot warrant their conformance with any specific accessibility standard.

7. Feedback and grievance procedure

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Service. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us so that we can address the issue:

Email: [email protected]
Subject line: please include the phrase "Accessibility" so that we can route your message to the right person.

When contacting us, please provide as much detail as possible, including: the page where the barrier was encountered; a description of the barrier; the browser, operating system, and assistive technology you were using; and any error messages or behaviour you observed. We will acknowledge accessibility feedback within a reasonable period and will respond substantively as soon as practicable.

8. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility feedback submission, you may escalate the matter by sending a formal written complaint to [email protected] with the subject line "Accessibility Complaint". We will investigate and respond in good faith.

9. Continuous improvement

This statement reflects the state of accessibility of the Service at the date indicated above. We periodically review and update this statement to reflect changes to the Service, to applicable standards, and to feedback received from users.
